Marta Hurtado de Mendoza

Fashion journalist with an insatiable appetite for Madrid

A fashion, lifestyle and music journalist with over 10 years experience’, she is now the editor of vogue.es

Marta's Top Tips:

  1. Sacha (Calle Juan Hurtado de Mendoza, 11) is the best restaurant in the city, but also a hidden treasure. The place is beautiful and the food is beyond words. Make the most of your experience and let the maître d’ do his magic...
  2. Club 31 for their cheese soufflé topped with caviar, ensaladilla rusa (Russian salad), steak tartare (super spicy, please), callos a la madrileña (don't ask what it is, just go for it) and crêpes Suzette. This is Madrid-meets-Paris in an exclusive but cool spot in the heart of the city.
  3. Toni2. Skip the noisy, tourist nightlife and instead enjoy some cocktails and tapas at Toni2. This place is amazing and full of great stories (and drinks). Order a plate of jamón Ibérico, a drink, and then try to nab a seat by the piano. And if the mood strikes, you’re more than welcome to belt out a tune.
