Low-key, modern Milanese cooking at its best

A stripped-back menu full of understated Italian classics, Trippa is a small trattoria with energy, soul and some of the most rustic cooking in Milan. The restaurant’s menu is constantly shifting, so order at least one pasta dish, and ask the kitchen if they have any of their famous pâté (they often keep some back for those in the know).  Go with what you feel like eating – nothing disappoints at Trippa – but be warned, vegetarians won’t find much choice here: this is best for the meat-inclined.

Top tip:

Look out for any plates of roasted bone marrow leaving the kitchen and order one straight away if you do – it’s a meat lover’s dream.
