Somerset House

Year-round exhibitions in a grand, neoclassical building

Mere moments from the ME hotel lies the neoclassical Somerset House. Built in the 16th century, Somerset House is part of London’s cultural scene with year-round events including exhibitions, festivals, concerts, outdoor cinemas and even an ice rink during winter. Plus, with over six cafés, it’s a good option for a leisurely coffee and pastry.

Top tip:

If you’re more than just peckish, head to restaurant Spring, helmed by Michelin-starred chef Skye Gyngell. Don’t be fooled by its girly pastel shades, the food here is simple but serious. If you don’t believe us, order the ravioli of chard and ricotta with marjoram butter.
