Sa Caleta

Excellent waterside paella near an ancient monument

A few moments’ walk from the UNESCO-protected Phoenician settlement of the same name, Sa Caleta's wooden deck and simple tables blend seamlessly into the red rocks and pine trees of this tiny little cove. It's hugely popular for local classics like grilled sardines and the squid ink-blackened arroz negro. Floodlights illuminate the surrounding cliffs after dark, making it a special evening spot too.

Top tip:

Try a Café Caleta after supper: the Ibicencan speciality of hot coffee brewed with rum, brandy and local spices was invented here.
