Playa S'Estanyol

Off-the-beaten track gem close to Ibiza Town

This small, rugged beach isn't glamorous – its seaweedy shore gives way to extremely shallow waters that are rough and pebbly underfoot – but it is delightfully under the radar. The sole beach bar/restaurant, Cala Bonita (ex-PK2), has a low-key vibe and serves simple grilled seafood and lovely salads on a sun-dappled deck. Use the wooden jetty to access the sea – away from shore the water is beautifully clear and bath-warm.

Top tip:

From the annual Boujis extravaganza to Cocoon day-raves and a Groove Armada boat party, this beach is after-party central. Enquire discreetly at the bar for insider info.
