Tapas and cocktails in the heart of Palma

Although Mallorcan locals might say there are too many ‘guiris’, or international customers, in Ombu, the quality of their tapas and cocktails keeps both locals and tourists coming back for more: think octopus carpaccio with Thai-spiced foam, Andalusian squid with lime mayo, and sea bass ceviche. The trick here is to make sure you get a table outside, so you can take in Passeig del Born’s tree-lined courtyard while you eat.

Ask for “los huevos rotos con foie”, a deliciously indulgent scrambled egg and foie gras dish.
