MUDEC

A disused factory area transformed into a museum for multiculturalism

On the site of the former Ansaldo factories in the Tortona district sits The Museo delle Culture (Museum of Cultures) or MUDEC. British architect Sir David Chipperfield has turned the disused factories into a multidisciplinary hub dedicated to the cultures of the world. Through visual performance, sound art, design and costume, MUDEC casts a light on international communities and their connections to Milan.

Don’t miss a stop at Bartolini, the on-site restaurant with two Michelin stars and a penchant for contemporary-classic cuisine.
