Barcelona Editor's Tips

If you want to take part in the morning ritual of fer un vermut (do a vermouth), head to Morro Fi. In the evenings if you can’t get into the Adrià brothers’ Tickets, try for Albert Adrià’s traditional vermutería Bodega 1900 instead, it has some of the elements of Tickets (like those liquid olives), but with a more casual vibe.

Want to escape the crowds? We say head to Sitges for a day or two – it’s a good excuse to get out of the city (it’s only a 30-minute train from Barcelona) and get into the village way of life. Plan your trip using our Sitges guide here.

Head to the El Born area for a night out rubbing shoulders with the fashion-conscious locals, be sure to wind-up your night at Paradiso - a speakeasy with a difference.
