Mesmerizing Melia!
Covina, California Jun 8, 2006
We just returned from a long weekend at the Meliá San Lucas. The hotel was so beautiful and airy. Check in was no problem. When we got to our ocean view room I immediately went to the balcony and took a picture, the view was breathtaking. Then I turned and saw the huge bed with a great looking comforter. The bathroom was nice and clean, but I did have to ask for another towel.
We then met up with the rest of party, (there were a total of 6 of us), and had a celebratory beer at the lobby bar. We noticed huge sofas and pillows everywhere. The pool was amazing, it was clean and we loved the big floating mattresses and the cabanas. We did notice the house music playing, but it was not intrusive as other reviewers might lead you to believe. We stayed at the volleyball pool, so the music was at a background level. The swim up bar looked pretty cool, but we never made our way over to it. We ordered some appetizers; the quesadillas and nachos were awesome. Drink the beer fast because it gets warm in the plastic cups. A highlight on our second day at the pool was the waiter bringing around cold rolled up towels to cool your face and neck.
The staff we encountered was helpful and courteous.
Other than appetizers, including sushi, we didn't eat at the restaurants. We usually ate breakfast at "The Office" a short walk down the beach. Good food, good prices, always busy, but even as a party of six we never had to wait. We would walk 10 minutes to downtown in the evening, good food at Cabo Wabo!
This was my first trip to Cabo and I am hooked, I will definitely stay here again.
